We're just fixing bugs and turning stuff off right now and don't
add any new features (or new to translate strings), but I think

I'm not particularly fond of the enum thing (maybe static constexpr
int or something is better?) and have not tested the patch myself
yet, though.
Maybe David really likes it and picks it into his branch.
