Package: base Version: 20030522 Severity: normal -- System Information Debian Release: 3.0 Kernel Version: Linux marilyn 2.2.20 #1 Sat Apr 20 11:45:28 EST 2002 i686 unknown If you enter a command such as apt-get -s -t stable install bug It erroneously announces that it'll install from testing (assuming testing is in sources.list). If you omit the -s however, it (correctly) installs from stable.

I am going to assume that what is meant is that same version of the package is in two releases. In this case in recent versions of apt the simulation shows: Inst foo (2.9.2 Debian:testing, Debian:unstable [amd64]) aka: multiple releases. The download will use the first source it is available from as it is defined in sources.list, so what is shown there is orderdependent and can be picked by the user. I am therefore closing this bug as fixed. Best regards David KalnischkiesAttachment: signature.asc
