Package: apt
Version: 0.6.45

I'm having problems getting the repository updated; the hostname in my sources.list resolves to 1.0.0.0, which is of course, unreachable. It'd work fine after I used another network utility (in this case, ping) and if I run apt-get immediately after that, apt-get worked fine.

I initially thought it was my resolv.conf error. But if it is so, it shouldn't work for ANY other network utility. Just apt-get.

Could somebody give me a clarification of the problem(s) i'm facing? This has never happened before.

I have never seen this myself and 7 years of no reply indicate that
nobody else either, so closing as fixed.

In the event of reproducibility, please reopen!
