Package: apt Version: 0.6.43.2 Severity: normal Hi I have recently upgraded Apt to the newest version from the one contained in Sarge version 3.1r0. Despite having installed the correct keys for the Debian archives as well as the package debian-archive-keyring, I am getting unauthenticated warnings for all packages downloaded from Debian servers. A couple of examples are shown below WARNING: The following packages cannot be authenticated! libsmpeg0 libopenal0 libsdl-net1.2 scorched3d-data scorched3d WARNING: The following packages cannot be authenticated! gaim gaim-data This would be relatively normal error if the 2006 key was missing for the Debian archives. However, this is not the case in this example and no errors are produced by "apt-get update". I'm at a loss to explain this problem and therefore assume it must be a bug with apt. I'm submitted it here for that reason. Thanks Regards, Barrie -- Package-specific info: -- (no /etc/apt/preferences present) -- -- (/etc/apt/sources.list present, but not submitted) -- -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.12-bm050911-k7 Locale: LANG=en_GB, LC_CTYPE=en_GB (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages apt depends on: ii libc6 2.3.5-8.1 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libgcc1 1:4.0.2-5 GCC support library ii libstdc++6 4.0.2-5 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 Versions of packages apt recommends: ii debian-archive-keyring 2006.01.18 GnuPG archive keys of the Debian a -- no debconf information
