Package: apt
Version: 0.7.10
Severity: normal

Hi,

Recently, I began to use Debian Hurd. The whole system works well.
But after upgrading to the up-to-date state, there appears to be a
mismatch between apt and dpkg. That is, the apt could not exec dpkg.
Each time when I use apt system to install/upgrade/remove packages,
apt always reports:
...
Preconfiguring packages ...
Could not exec dpkg!
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (100)

But if I mannually execute dpkg to handle the cached packages under
/var/cache/apt/archives/, dpkg works properly.

Thanks.

I had not seen this bug report.
I have never seen this issue. For years, including on buildds etc. I
guess it got fixed in the meanwhile.
