As these bugs by nature very much depend on your system,
i can't reproduce it with mine, so could you please attach your
/var/lib/dpkg/status  and
/var/lib/apt/extended_states
to the bugreport?

The first includes information about all packages you have installed,
the second stores the records of which packages are autoinstalled.

If you don't want to attach them to the bugreport you can also sent
them privately to me, of course.


btw: Does this happen also without --purge switch?
