What that CNC stands for?

Hello List,

I am reading through apt source code. And I wonder what CNC acronym
means. It seems to be used in 2003 regarding new features or other
change-sets. Like:

    CNC:2003-03-03 - Function moved to ReadAppend() and Reset()

Out of curiosity, does anybody recall what did it stand for? :))
