Bug#598988: apt-utils: should recommend package 'lzma'
Package: apt-utils
Version: 0.8.5
Severity: wishlist
Hi,
to distribute some downloaded .debs in my local network I have a little
apt-ftparchive script running here. The line "apt-ftparchive generate"
recently had problems with opera development-release packages, which took me
some time to resolve:
dists/experimental/non-free/binary-i386/:
E: Unterprozess lzma hat Fehlercode zurückgegeben (100)
E: Errors apply to file
'/home/ftp/pub/debian-sebrem/dists/experimental/non-free/binary-i386/opera_10.70.9053_i386.deb'
1 files 10,7MB 0 s
All I needed was to install the "lzma" package, which is suggested by "apt",
but not by "apt-utils". Maybe adding it to apt-utils' Suggests-line would
give a hint to other users in the same situation.
Kind regards
Sebastian Bremicker
