Bug#230295: closed by Olly Betts <olly@survex.com> (Re: apt-get install --suggests --recommends package...)
reopen 230295
thanks
But on the apt-get man page,
--install-recommends
Also install recommended packages.
--no-install-recommends
Do not install recommended packages.
don't mention which is the default, nor their -o parameters. And there is no mention of the
---...suggests switches at all.
In fact there is a third good mention,
--no-install-recommends
Do not consider recommended packages as a dependency for installing. Configuration Item:
APT::Install-Recommends.
which needs to be merged with the above two.
