Bug#575576: apt-cache show sometimes show two package descriptions

Hello Davide Prina,

As Julian already said: Different versions, different sources and
(maybe) different basic english descriptions. Maybe you don't
have the Translation file for the english version or exactly this
translation is missing…
(You can see this with apt-cache showpkg apt )

In short: The versions are different so APT will show you both
versions instead of only one.

If you don't like this behavior have a look at apt-cache (8):
> -a, --all-versions
> Print full records for all available versions.
> This is the default; to turn it off, use --no-all-versions.
> If --no-all-versions is specified, only the candidate version will
> displayed (the one which would be selected for installation).
> This option is only applicable to the show command.
>   Configuration Item: APT::Cache::AllVersions.
