Package: apt Version: 0.7.3 Severity: grave Hi,after latest debian update apt is no more usable, it segfaults at every start. With an "apt-get update" it search the server for updates and download them, but when it tries to access the package database, it segfaults.I have recorded gdb backtrace and strace output hoping that they are useful. gdb output is attached, strace is too big to be attached, if needed I'll put it online. The strace command line I used was: strace -f -F -s 1024 -o apt_strace apt-get update Latest packages updated (which probably caused the crash) are: # ls /var/cache/apt/archives/ lesstif2_1%3a0.95.0-2+b1_i386.deb libevent1_1.3b-0_i386.deb libglib2.0-0_2.12.12-1+b1_i386.deb libglib2.0-dev_2.12.12-1+b1_i386.deb libgphoto2-2_2.3.1-5+b1_i386.deb libgphoto2-2-dev_2.3.1-5+b1_i386.deb libgphoto2-port0_2.3.1-5+b1_i386.deb libnfsidmap2_0.19-0+b1_i386.deb libselinux1_2.0.15-2+b1_i386.deb libsepol1_2.0.3-1+b1_i386.deb libtag1c2a_1.4-8+b1_i386.deb Debian: testing apt: 0.7.3 libc6: 2.5-9+b1 kernel: 2.6.21-2-k7 Tell me if you need more info. ________________________________________________________________________Check Out the new free AIM(R) Mail -- Unlimited storage and industry-leading spam and email virus protection.Attachment: apt_gdb.bz2
