Package: apt-listchanges
Version: 2.70
Severity: important

  Hi,

having had apt (partly accidential) on hold since apt version 0.5.14, for
quite some time apt-listchanges could not load libapt-pkg-libc6.3-6.so.3.11
on my system and thus failed on program start.

Releasing the hold of course instantly solved the problem. I'm under the
strong impression that apt-listchanges should require an apt version where
libapt-pkg-libc6.3-6.so.3.11 is already available, and that seems to be an
apt version > 0.5.14 (instead of the current dependency on apt >= 0.5.3).

Hth,
and greetings from Germany,

Jochen.

I am closing this bug because python-apt depends on the
libapt-* virtual packages provided by apt and apt-utils,
which means that problems with missing libraries are not
possible anymore.
