Package: python-apt
Version: 0.5.8
Severity: wishlist

A documentation of the objects that python-apt works with (including
attributes and methods) is missing from the package (see the python
library reference for examples ;). As an intermediate solutution a
README.Debian where to look for such information in the meantime would
be nice.

With the release of python-apt 0.7.9~exp2, documentation
is now available.

The documentation created using sphinx can be found at
/usr/share/doc/python-apt/{html,text} and can be viewed
online at http://people.debian.org/~jak/python-apt-doc/ (
which will be moved to apt.alioth.debian.org later).

The documentation shipped within the package does not
contain documentation for apt.gtk.widgets yet, but this
is not that important because you can use pydoc at the
moment, until the building has been fixed. (and it will be
changed anyway in the next release).
