Package: apt Version: 0.5.4 Severity: wishlist apt-get should have an option like --limit-rate in wget in order to set a maximum speed when downloading packages. I have a 56k connection, and when I download something with apt-get, I can't even write in chats. That would be really useful for us. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux ferm 2.4.18 #1 Tue Sep 17 23:11:41 CEST 2002 i686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=es_ES@euro Versions of packages apt depends on: ii libc6 2.3.1-10 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libstdc++2.10-glibc2.2 1:2.95.4-15 The GNU stdc++ library -- no debconf information

Version: 0.7.14 This option was working at least in apt 0.7.14. Anyway, closing the bug. -- Eugene V. Lyubimkin aka JackYF, Ukrainian C++ developer.Attachment: signature.asc
