Package: apt Version: 0.5.27 Severity: wishlist File: /usr/bin/apt-get I think that it could be useful that apt-get have option of limiting download rate (as wget), because many people have not firewall or QoS in their computer (or they don't know what do that). Perhaps a good thing too for people that programm that apt-get runs periodically and want to have a minimum broadband for other processes (and no have QoS). It easy the life of users (overall end-users). With much hopes and thanks, Xan. -- Package-specific info: -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.8-rc2 Locale: LANG=ca_ES@euro, LC_CTYPE=ca_ES@euro (ignored: LC_ALL set to ca_ES) Versions of packages apt depends on: ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-16 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libgcc1 1:3.4.1-5 GCC support library ii libstdc++5 1:3.3.4-7 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 -- no debconf information
