Package: apt
Version: 0.6.44.2
Severity: important

Upgrading from 0.6.43.3 to 0.6.44.2 renders apt-get update unusable.

apt-get update
0% [Working]/usr/lib/apt/methods/http: symbol lookup error:
/usr/lib/apt/methods/http: undefined symbol: _ZN15SHA256SummationC1Ev
E: Method http has died unexpectedly!

Downgrading to 0.6.43.3 fixes the problem.

Agree.

This bug seems it was caused by wrong build, bad libraries' versions or similar.
