I too wasted a lot of time becuase of this.

My install was successful (4.0r4), but attempting
aptitude update
aptitude upgrade
I got warnings about untrusted packages.

It took at least 2 hours to notice the system
time was bad.

Some thing, somewhere, knows that the problem
is that the creation date of the key is in the
future.  It would have saved a lot of hassle if
both update and upgrade had a more informative
error message.
