Sure, I just wanted some confirmation that it sounded like a
reasonable idea to someone who was not me before I bothered them.

Listmasters: for historical reasons, the apt development list is named
deity@lists.debian.org. I suspect that most users are able to find it,
but I know that some confusion exists because a user sent mail to
aptitude-devel after failing to find any other apt mailing list.

It seems to me that it would be much clearer if the apt development
list was named something like apt-devel. Is a rename feasible at all
from a technical standpoint? (I have no idea whether I'm talking about
a few config file edits, or some sort of mammoth undertaking -- presumably
this isn't important enough to justify the latter)

    Thanks,
  Daniel
