Hello APT team,
Version 0.7.7 (and above, but not below) of apt-get breaks the automatic
update of the Debian menu system. It seems the postinst script inherit
some signal handling from apt-get that break menu, but I do not have
pinpointed it yet.
The menu update works fine when the package is installed directly with
dpkg from the shell.
See bug #462648 for more detail.
Cheers,
