Bug#462866: dsl the reason?

Are you sure that this is only due to the dsl connection? Because millions of people here in Germany have been using dsl for more than ten years now.
The provider in question is Hansenet. They sell dsl connections under a brand called Alice. They have hundreds of thousands of customers.
Also everything else works fine.
