Bug#374790: Seen a similar bug again

Hello,

I found this bug in the current version of apt (0.7.9) even appearing
with Server: field, but less often. When HTTP pipelining is used (depth:
10) then, in about one of 20 runs, it just gets stuck when two 404
responses were received in sequence. I see the response headers being
sent to the sockets but then no following requests are made by apt, nor
does it close the connection, neither did it send Connection:close flag
before. It just hangs for almost exactly two minutes and only then it
closes the connections and continues like nothing has happened.

Honnestly, something in the threading code must be really unsafe.
