Bug#408877: apt: French version of "Yes, do as I say!" difficult to type
Package: apt
Version: 0.6.46.4
Severity: normal
Tags: l10n
Hi,
When installing for instance file-rc, hence uninstalling sysv-rc, apt
prompts:
You are about to do something potentially harmful.
To continue type in the phrase 'Yes, do as I say!'
?]
Which is fine. The french version is
Vous êtes sur le point de faire quelque chose de potentiellement dangereux
Pour continuer, tapez la phrase « Oui, faites ce que je vous dis ! »
?]
Here, the sentence to type contains a non-breakable space between `dis'
and `!'. For getting apt to continue, the user hence has to type a
non-breakable space, which is not easy not only because not all keymaps
have a way to type them, but also just because the user has to realize
he has to type it instead of a usual space (which is not obvious since
both appear as a blank character)...
I'd say that turning _that_ non-breakable space into a usual space would
help most people.
