Bug#399673: apt: [apt-get::manual] Please document '=' command line notation
Package: apt
Version: 0.6.46.3
Severity: normal
According to
http://snapshot.debian.net/cgi-bin/packages.cgi
It is possible to use syntax:
apt-get install binary-package=version
======================
SUGGESTION
The manual page of apt-get(1) is silent about the use of '<tag>=..' constructs. It
only mentions:
-o, --option
Set a Configuration Option; This will set an arbitary configuration option. The
syntax is -o Foo::Bar=bar.
Btw: Please add pointer to where the list of these Foo::Bar options
can be found. The 'FILES' section lists some, but is those complete list?
Please document the other possibilities.
