Bug#338790: apt-get: man page should mention "=" and "/"

Package: apt
Version: 0.6.42.2
Severity: wishlist

The apt-get man page, in the install section, has a paragraph explaining how
to use 'equals' and 'slash'. I couldn't find it at first because I was
searching the manpage for '=' and '/'. Could those be added to that paragraph
to help people searching in this way? Maybe something like,

A specific version of a package can be selected for installation
by following the package name with an equals ('=') and the
version of the package to select. This will cause that version
to be located and selected for install. Alternatively a
specific distribution can be selected by following the package
name with a slash ('/') and the version of the distribution or
the Archive name (stable, testing, unstable).

Thanks,
