Better look first to the package sources with "apt-get source apt",
then compare with the TLA archive.

Hi,
Accents are broken in french manpages of the last version of apt :
For example, « à », « è » and « ù » are not correctly displayed, either in a iso8859-15 or
utf-8 terminal.
By checking the source, we can notice the xml source files are correct, but not
the resulting manpage.
