Bug#316344: apt-key update does not work and makes an incorrect suggestion
Package: apt
Version: 0.6.38
Severity: normal
Hi,
I tried the following command that fails:
# apt-key update
ERROR: Can't find the archive-keyring
Is the debian-keyring package installed?
I have installed the "debian-keyring" package but it does not contain
the expect keyring /usr/share/keyrings/debian-archive-keyring.gpg. It
only contains the following keyrings:
/usr/share/keyrings/debian-keyring.pgp
/usr/share/keyrings/debian-keyring.gpg
/usr/share/keyrings/debian-role-keys.gpg
If this is a doc bug, please point to the correct package (I have not
found any other relevant keyring package).
If this a temporary situation waiting for a new version of
debian-keyring, please reassign this bug to the debian-keyring
package.
