Bug#313041: apt: APT::Default-Release does not honor synonymous release names

This is as intended, and all of the examples in the documentation use the proper names.

Well, I just double-checked the available apt man pages and examples, and didn't find any warnings to avoid using release names. In fact:

The Release file is normally found in the directory .../dists/dist-name: for example, .../dists/stable/Release, or .../dists/woody/Release.

is excerpted from APT_PREFERENCES(5). It implies that releases can use either sort of name. In short, if this is simply a documentation issue with apt, then the documentation should indicate that *only* the three release *track names* can be used, and not the names of the specific releases.

On the other hand, maybe the bug should be more properly filed against debconf? The problem, after all, is in /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/70debconf (which isn't documented anywhere on my system despite being standard with Sarge), and not in any of the documentation or examples that come with apt or debconf.
