Package: apt
Version: 0.5.27
Severity: normal

Both when using a local file: mirror as when using an http one, I get
the following behaviour:

[jeroen@mordor]/tmp/bla$ ls -l
total 0
[jeroen@mordor]/tmp/bla$ apt-get source phpmyadmin
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
Need to get 0B/2384kB of source archives.
Fetch Source phpmyadmin
[jeroen@mordor]/tmp/bla$

(edit sources.list for non-local mirror, and apt-get update)

[jeroen@mordor]/tmp/bla$ apt-get source phpmyadmin
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
Need to get 317kB of source archives.
Fetch Source phpmyadmin
[jeroen@mordor]/tmp/bla$ ls -l
total 0
[jeroen@mordor]/tmp/bla$

I was unable to find any way to have apt be more verbose about what's
going on, so I cannot supply atm more info than this.

Thanks,

You have APT::Get::Simulate turned on (equivalent to apt-get -s).
