You would hope so, but you would be disappointed. As far as gettext is
concerned, it’s all strings of octets. There is no way to tell gettext
that a change in an original message was just a fix for a typo. You have
to write your own little scripts to make things match again.
As for SI multipliers: deka is ‘da’ (two letters!), hecto is ‘h’, kilo
is ‘k’. All lower-case.
