  Yes, that's why I first asked for your apt_preferences file.  I forgot the 
file wasn't named after the manpage.

  I actually do know of at least one: apt.conf's manpage mentioned 
apt_preferences.  I don't think it's appropriate to mention this in 
aptitude's manpage, but the apt manpage should mention it.
