mkdir /tmp/apt
mv /var/cache/apt/*.bin /tmp/apt

Then try apt-get update again.  If it works, send me /tmp/apt.  If it still
breaks, edit sources.list and remove sources until it works again, and send
me the last entry you removed.

If that doesn't get it working again, send me a gzipped copy of
/var/lib/dpkg/status.
