apt should have a global config option to stop it from using IPv6.
I have several machines with IPv6/IPv4 connectivity, but IPv6 is usually much
slower and only for testing purposes. If an apt-source has a
IPv6-DNS-record apt uses IPv6 by default and there's no way to configure
this behaviour....

As explained in the bug log, it isn't really apt's business what type of
address the resolver returns. If there is to be a facility for preferring
A over AAAA or similar, it should be implemented at a more global level.
