Bug#221542: /usr/bin/apt-get: apt-get: goes into a busy loop without /proc
Package: apt
Version: 0.5.9
Severity: normal
File: /usr/bin/apt-get
Hi,
when I try to build debian-installer images in a chroot without proc
the build process hangs when downloading udebs with apt-get. Top shows
apt-get using 99% cpu time. A simple mount /proc solves the problem.
It would be better if apt-get would fail and report an error instead
of hanging.
