Bug#201084: apt-get to use multiple lines when downloading from more than one source?
Package: apt
Version: 0.5.4
Severity: wishlist
Hello,
apt-get will download from several sources at once (if configured that
way and packages from several sources are needed). The problem here is
mainly an estetic one:
1 somepackage [size]
2 someotherpkg [size]
3 athirdpackage [size]
4 andaforthpackage [size]
55% [1 somepackage 1024k/10M 10%] [2 someotherpackage 7533/25M ...] [3 at
so once apt runs out of space on the first line, the rest is truncated,
and not shown.
This could be resolved eg. like this:
55% time elapsed: 2h 45min remaining 1h 33min 55M/110M
[1 somepackage 1024k/10M 10% 1min 33 rem 2500b/s]
[2 someotherpackage 7533/25m ..% 35min rem 3799kb/s]
..
hopefully itr will get fixed someday
Robert
