From having a short discussion yesterday with "doogie" aka Adam Heath
on #debian-devel, it looks like nothing is holding back the release of
the current apt. It also sounds like Adam is responsible for apt.
Apparently he wanted test feedback about the version of apt that he
uploaded to people months ago and hasn't gotten any good or bad...
I'm guessing by this he meant that if he had gotten a bunch of good
reports it would have happened by now.
He was having network problems for two weeks and was hoping to patch
a few more bugs in the release... but those aren't show stoppers.
I was encouraging him to post a status here but I've no indication
that will happen.
