Package: dselect
Version: 1.10.9
Severity: important

When installing packages with dselect, if some packages don't install,
only some of the others will be installed. The rest will be skipped, but if
you do "install" again, some of them may succeed.

Here is the output from two iterations:

==============================
27 packages upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
3 packages not fully installed or removed.
Need to get 0B/20.8MB of archives. After unpacking 386kB will be freed.

============================

Notice that packages such as aumix didn't get installed until the second
try. I didn't change anything in between, just picked "install" again.

Furthermore, after this there are still 2 packages that aren't even tried.
They are libggi-target-fbdev and libggi2. (This may explain why those
packages that fail, fail: maybe the new version of libggi2 needs to be
installed first.)

This is just how things work, if dpkg runs into a problem it bails out
fairly early on (or generaly creates an insane spew of messages as the
original problem cascades into more problems later on). It's best that
things give up early.

You the user are expected to correct the problem and re-run the install
until it completes without error.

Jason
