No, it's doing what you asked. You asked for a simulation of the install
process, and that's what you got.
-d does not effect the installation process and is not reflected in the
simulation. Ever. -d only means to stop processing immediately after
download is complete. It is utterly non-sensical to combine -s -d and
expect nothing to be printed out.
If you wish to `simulate' the download then the --print-uris option is the
closest you can come.
