Bug#140379: apt-cache show option to display only the top entry

Package: apt
Version: 0.5.4
Severity: wishlist

Hi, I can't find a way to get apt-cache show <pkg> to show only the top
entry.
I generally use it just to display the info about the most recent version
of a package available.

Is it possible to add a flag so that only the top entry is shown.

Thanks.

Ben
