1) A normal, everyday dist-upgrade. A couple of broken KDE packages; no
big deal.
2) Add wiggy's vim repository to sources.list.
deb http://people.debian.org/~wakkerma/vim ./
Note that the only thing in there is vim.
3) Try same normal, everyday dist-upgrade with wiggy's repo in the list.
-> TOTAL CHAOS
Attached is a tarball containing 4 files:
scenario1: apt-get -u -o Debug::pkgProblemResolver=true dist-upgrade
without wiggy's repo
scenario2: apt-get -u -o Debug::pkgProblemResolver=true install vim
with wiggy's repo
scenario3: apt-get -u -o Debug::pkgProblemResolver=true dist-upgrade
with wiggy's repo
The rest of my sources are stock Debian archive URI's, plus the X Strike
Force Repository, which has nothing newer than what's in unstable.
