Bug#92193: apt-get install breaks when gnome-terminal is grown VERY big.

Hello,

I curiously maximized a gnome-terminal that contained an apt-get install process running in the foreground only to see that process make a segmentation fault. Later tests didn't crash apt-get, but made it stop updating the screen (though the download kept working).

The size of the desktop, from XWindow logs is:
(**) MGA(0): Virtual size is 2048x1536 (pitch 2048)
Which is almost the size to which the terminal is grown to.

Installed versions for gnome-terminal and dpkg are 1.4.0.4-5 and 1.9.16 respectively.
