Bug#97564: apt: could support release codenames in addition to stable/... aliases

Package: apt
Version: 0.5.3
Severity: wishlist

Many people prefer to use the codenamùes than the "stability status",
eg. to be sure not to get bitten by "stable" changing meaning at
release time.

Hence the usefulness of allowing "apt-get fakeroot/potato" and such.
This will probably need to add a field to the Release files in the
archive.
