Description: A set of building blocks for performing vector and matrix
operations
BLAS (Basic Linear Algebra Subprograms) is a set of efficient routines for most of the
basic vector and matrix operations. They are widely used as the basis for other high
quality linear algebra software, for example lapack and linpack.
 .
This package contains a shared version of the library.

Description: a comprehensive set of linear algebra routines - Run-time
Package.
LAPACK version 2.0 is a comprehensive FORTRAN library that does
linear algebra operations including matrix inversions, least
squared solutions to linear sets of equations, eigen analysis,
SVD, etc. It is a very comprehensive and reputable package that
has found extensive use in the scientific community.
 .
If you want to compile programs using lapack, then you
 also need to install lapack-dev.

Now what's up with lapack?

lapack:
  Package : lapack

 make[2]: *** [sgbbrd.o] Error 1

Close the bug. We'll have to live without that package. I'll try a few
things with lapack but this really doesn't look easy.
