Bug#90886: apt: Default operation should be `install'

Package: apt
Version: 0.5.3
Severity: wishlist

I find myself running `apt-get package' all the time. It would be
nice if the default operation were `install.'

I guess this would be a problem if packages existed that had the
same name as the apt-get commands, although some minimal sanity
checking could be used to ensure that apt-get does the Right Thing.
Alternatively, you could add all the commands to the Conflicts line
  ;-).

Then again, this example shows that the commands should have begun
with -- in the first place.

Thanks for a cool package system!
