Ok, time for bluntness.

You document it as saying 'this routine can parse most named.conf files.'
However, the routine can not parse them correctly(it only remembers the last
zone entry, in this example).  Either change the code, or change the
documentation.

The EXACT example you give in the documentation does NOT work with that
routine.  So, either the example is wrong, or the routine is.  It is not
about apt.conf.
