Bug#80946: apt gets confused on CD change
Package: apt
Version: 0.3.19
When I use apt to install packages from a CD set (Debian potato, binary1-3)
apt sometimes gets confused.
Example:
# apt-get install gemdropx
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
The following extra packages will be installed:
libggi2 libgii0 libsdl1.0
The following NEW packages will be installed:
gemdropx libggi2 libgii0 libsdl1.0
0 packages upgraded, 4 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Need to get 0B/1160kB of archives. After unpacking 2519kB will be used.
Do you want to continue? [Y/n]
I choose "Y".
Media Change: Please insert the disc labeled 'Debian GNU/Linux 2.2 r0 _Potato_ - Official i386 Binary-3 (20000814)' in the drive '/cdrom/' and press enter
Now I insert the binary3 CD and press enter.
Err cdrom://[Debian GNU/Linux 2.2 r0 _Potato_ - Official i386 Binary-1 (20000814)] unstable/main libggi2 1:1.99.2.0b2.1-2
Wrong CD
Here is the problem: apt asked for CD number 3 and complains about not
finding CD number 1. Very strange. Just for completeness I add the
remaining output:

E: Unable to fetch some archives, maybe try with --fix-missing?
As my modem was switched off, apt was unable to dowload the files
via ftp.
