Bug#78206: apt-get should warn to run dpkg --configure --pending after exit with failure.
Package: apt
Version: 0.3.19
Severity: wishlist
Errors were encountered while processing:
/var/cache/apt/archives/libgnomeprint-bin_0.25-0.1_i386.deb
/var/cache/apt/archives/libgnomeprint-data_0.25-0.1_all.deb
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
root@bittersweet:~
# dpkg --configure --pending
Setting up kernel-package (7.21) ...
Setting up ipchains-perl (0.5-8) ...
Setting up libarr0 (0.1-43) ...
dpkg: error processing libarr0 (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script killed by signal (Interrupt)
Setting up libbonobo2 (0.28-3) ...
Every time apt-get exits like that, if I run `dpkg --configure
--pending', there are packages to configure. I think a warning
ought to be printed at the very least. Ideas?
