Bug#76010: apt: line containing only white-space in sources.list causes apt-get update to fail
Package: apt
Version: 0.3.19
Severity: normal
Consider the following simple sources.list:
I'll mark the start and end of a line:
^deb ftp://security.debian.org/debian-security potato/updates contrib main non-free$
^ $
^deb ftp://ftp.de.debian.org/debian potato main contrib non-free$
^deb ftp://ftp.de.debian.org/debian woody main contrib non-free$
^deb ftp://ftp.de.debian.org/debian-non-US potato/non-US main contrib non-free$
^deb ftp://ftp.de.debian.org/debian-non-US woody/non-US main contrib non-free$
The whitespace in line 2 causes apt-get to fail. It does not matter if
this is a tab or multiple spaces, apt-get just fails with:
E: Malformed line 2 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list (type)
