Well, given that the official release notes state that you should upgrade
and that the version it says you should upgrade to has a bug -- we should
fully document how to work with that bug and how to work around it with
examples.
We're not. And that's my complaint.

It does. But the release notes suggest upgrading apt to the static before
doing the system upgrade. That breaks name resolving. Thus we should give
the actual IPs people should use to make it easier on them.
