Bug#50536: Column headers for package list section don't render well
Package: gnome-apt
Version: 0.3.6
Severity: wishlist
The text labels for the column headers get cut off at the top. The
capital letters have the top few pixels cut off. The top of the D is running
into the top border of the box that contains it. The top of the P in
"Package Name", the top of the S in "Status", the top of the S in "Section",
and the top of the D in "Description" are similarly cut off. The text
label appears to be flush with the top of the box instead of vertically
centered. It would probably appear nicer if it were vertically centered.
There is a general screen real estate problem in the package list section.
There is a ton of information to display, and it is hard to read. Have you
experimented with putting more of a separation between the columns or putting
a verticle line between the columns?
