hi.

i ran apt-cache gencaches and it seems to have removed my
/var/cache/apt/archives directory. i don't care about the files in there but
i had to recreate the dir to use apt again.

feel free to ignore me if i'm mistaken.

Impossible, there isn't a 'rmdir' syscall in the entire APT suite!
